What We Do

We provide minimally invasive treatment options that involve using a thin, yet flexible scope that contains a camera and light at the front end. This endoscope gets inserted by mouth or rectum and guided through the esophagus or the patient’s intestines while obtaining color imaging of the inner linings of both tracts. It is also used to visualize the surrounding organs like the pancreas. With our service, you will also find we are experts in Endoscopic Ultrasonography. 

With EUS we are given an entirely new dimension to examine the patient, allowing the opportunity to produce even more detailed images of the linings and walls of the digestive tract and organs such as the pancreas, liver and lymph nodes. This EUS scope uses high-frequency sound waves to produce detailed images while also providing a visual camera view to the Endoscopist for further visualization.

 Dr. Michel Kahaleh is the Chief of Endoscopy and is a world-renowned endoscopist leading a team of talented physicians. Dr. Kahaleh has been a pioneer in the world of endoscopy for years, specifically focusing on bringing new minimally invasive procedure options to his patients. These procedures involve; endoscopic treatments for obesity, endoscopic resection and myotomy, and therapeutic endosonography. He has pioneered these procedures on both the national and international levels as well as educated teams all over the world.
